Lakeview Learning Center is an alternative therapeutic private special education school approved through the NJ Department of Education that accepts middle and high school students with behavioral, emotional, and/or learning disabilities such as ADD, ADHD, Aspergers/high functioning autism, anxiety, bipolar disorder and psychiatric/mood disorders. An IEP containing a set of goals and objectives is specifically developed for each student according to his or her levels of functioning and academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs. Each student experiences an individualized educational program in a therapeutic setting which includes academic subjects, related services, including counseling, speech, and OT as per IEP in addition to electives such as art, culinary arts/food services, and cosmetology.
